Our Story
Hi there! I am Liz, founder of Sunsets & Sapphires Company, and mother to a beautiful daughter. I'm just your average Kentucky raised girl who up and moved to Ohio after school to start her life and her family.
With a business degree, a career background in Supply Chain, and the grace of God, I've been able to use my experience to create this business as well as learn the ever changing market along the way. Which has been quite difficult at times, but fulfilling nonetheless. Not to mention juggling life as a mother, basketball coach, and now business owner; you could say that I am quite the busy woman.
S&S Co. is based in West Chester, Ohio and ran by yours truly with the help of my daughter from time to time. My goal is to not only share my creativity through comfortable clothing, but to also continue building this business with the hope that it will teach my daughter that with heart, hard work, and Jesus Christ, anything is possible.
How We Started & More
Originally started as an Etsy shop with the name 'MamaLizCo' in March of 2023, and then rebranded to Sunsets & Sapphires Company in October of the same year.
The new name encompasses more than me being a mother; it captures one of my daughters and I favorite things, the sunsets and the colors God paints our sky with. As well as Sapphires, which is her birthstone and my favorite color/gem.
Each t-shirt and sweatshirt is designed, pressed, and shipped from my office / workspace in our Ohio home.
Why T-Shirts and Sweatshirts you ask? Well, I believe that happiness includes being comfortable not only in your own skin, but what you wear as well. I have always loved comfy tees and sweatshirts and still do to this day, so I decided that I will share my creativity through comfortable clothing.
Every piece is tried and tested to confirm ensure ultimate comfort for every season as I know firsthand how awful it is to receive a shirt or sweater that ends up shrinking, or scratches your skin. You will find NONE of that here!
& While the idea was to hand make every item 'made to order' for the sake of saving the little space that I have to share with my family, I have begun doing pop-up shops with local businesses and I've been LOVING IT!
While running a small business is already a dream come true, the next step is to continue to grow with the hopes of opening up a storefront one day where I can stock styles as well as press in-store.
